The European Conference on Results from Research Projects on Road Transport (RTR Conference) returned for a 7th time in Brussels, Belgium from 5-7 February 2024.
In addition to the research projects financed by Horizon 2020, delegates had the opportunity to learn about the outcomes of projects sponsored by Horizon Europe. With the expected participation of 400 attendees, this year’s event promised to be an important gateway into the realm of EU-funded projects, revolutionising the landscape of road transport.
The RTR Conference has cemented its position as a premier platform, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in road transport. This year’s agenda is designed to provide a comprehensive insight into pivotal areas crucial for the evolution of road transport. From the eco-friendly strides of Green Vehicles to the intricacies of Urban Mobility, Logistics, Intelligent Transport Systems, Safety, and the ever-evolving domain of Automated Road Transport, the conference is primed to offer a holistic perspective.
The focal point of the RTR 2024 Conference was to propose a vivid picture of the European research landscape, showcasing its forward trajectory in these vital domains. By unravelling the latest innovations and research breakthroughs of EU-funded projects, the conference aimed to underline the profound benefits these advancements bring to the environment, the economy, and the overarching fabric of European society.

On 6th of February 2024, Dr. Bill Roungas, Project Manager and member of EVENTS coordinating team, presented EVENTS project current results on the System’s Architecture, data generation and new datasets and collective perception messages along with the project’s expected impact, during the session 15 “Trustworthy CCAM”.
The session was moderated by Georgios Sarros from CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and Oihana Otaegui from Vicomtech and featured representatives from sister projects CONNECT and SELFY.
