Workshop on Trustworthy AI took place on 25-26 March 2025 at the Holm Centre, Frankfurt Airport.
This workshop was dedicated to tackling the complexities of AI trustworthiness by creating a roadmap for overcoming key challenges in data governance, quality assessment, and bias mitigation throughout the AI lifecycle. Invited AI experts, policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders were brought together for two days of insightful discussions and collaborative problem-solving, as the development of trustworthy AI systems remains one of the most pressing priorities in today’s digital landscape. As AI technologies become deeply integrated into critical sectors such as 6G, transportation, and healthcare, ensuring their reliability, transparency, and alignment with fundamental rights is paramount.
With AI regulation and standardization at the forefront of global discussions, the workshop featured three key panel discussions, providing a deep dive into critical issues (see agenda here).
A key outcome of this workshop was the development of a comprehensive roadmap identifying open challenges, immediate needs, and long-term strategies for AI trustworthiness. The overall ambition is that this roadmap to serve as the foundation for future research projects that will reinforce European leadership in AI and contribute to the responsible development and deployment of AI systems.
EVENTS was represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Buchholz from University of ULM, who was invited to present UULM’s work on data reliability estimation approaches, as part of the panel discussion on “Trustworthiness Assessment of Data in CCAM”.
In this panel, EVENTS was jointly presented and discussed along with Podium EU project.
